The target wellhead a had a low tubing head pressure of 5 barg and ~30% water cut. The well was producing with intermittent flow through the low-pressure export line of 4.5 barg, which required human intervention every 72hr to 96hr, to shut in the well, to build up the pressure. The objective of the AutoBooST® system is to maintain a stable production of the well into a high-pressure export line up to 20 barg.
During the Company Well project preparation, several challenges were faced some of them were unexpected. • Fluid Properties: Very low liquid production which made it challenging to have continuous metering. • Wellsite Area: The wellsite was in green area where flaring was not allowed.
The National Oil Company (NOC) selected the IPS AutoBooST® technology which combines a gas engine driving a multistage compressor connected to the Rapid Production Module consisting of a 3 phases separator and high-pressure pumps assigned for the liquids (Oil and Water). The AutoBooST® technology allowed: - Wellhead pressure Reduction: The well was diverted straight to the AutoBooST with a low separator pressure down to 4.4 Barg. - Accurate Flowrates Measurement: Gas, Oil and Water flowrates were measured accurate to 0.5% - Continuous Multiphase Boosting: The flow was reinjected continuously to the export line at 20 barg. - Self Powered System: The AutoBooST® technology was self-powered using its integrated power generator. - Efficient operation: The whole operation was performed with zero flaring and zero diesel consumption
